Leung Mee-ping

Leung Mee-ping was born in Hong Kong, graduated from L'Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts a Paris, France in 1991 and gained her MFA from California Institute of Arts, USA in 2000. Leung's works examine daily life through perception of daily life itself. She works with mixed-media, video, multimedia installation and site-specific event-based projects.

 

Pak Sheung-chuen

Pak Sheung-chuen is a Hong Kong based conceptual/performance artist who is a regular visual arts columnist at the Sunday Ming Pao newspaper, a contribution which enables him to fulfil his mission of informing the ordinary man-in-the-street about the artistic beauty that exists in everyday life.

Stella So

Stella So is a Hong Kong based artist who graduated from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2002 and works in the fields of theatre, magazine illustration, and animation. The old district and culture of Hong Kong has been her inspiration.

Tam Wai-ping

Tam Wai-ping is a Hong Kong based artist who completed his postgraduate study with distinction from the Slade School of Fine Art, University College of London, UK in 1995. He serves as a BA Course Coordinator and Lecturer at the Hong Kong Art School. Tam's works mainly concern the relationship between "Individuality and Land". His works explore the areas of "home and identity", "public and private sphere", and "reality and imagination".

 

Gordon Cheung 

Gordon Cheung lives in London and works nationally and internationally. He graduated from the Royal College of Art, 2001. His work featured in British Art Show 6 and The John Moores Painting 24. Recently works have been acquired for the Hirshhorn Museum, the Whitworth Art Gallery and also by Stéphane Janssen for the Arizona State University Art Museum. He has been commissioned for a Laing Art Solo Award (Selected by Susan May) for July 2007.

Community Museum Project

Community Museum Project is a Hong Kong based curatorial team exploring indigenous creativity, visual and public culture through the collection and interpretation of artifacts and visual evidence. The word "community" refers to the subject matter, settings and creative public interface.

Yuen Fong Ling

Yuen Fong Ling lives and works in Manchester and Glasgow. He was Co-Director (Programme) for the Castlefield Gallery, Manchester and he is currently at the Glasgow School of Art on the Master of Fine Art programme from 2005 to 2007. Ling's recent work explores the social, political and cultural conditions of 'looking' and observation from life.

Kwong Lee

Kwong Lee is based in Manchester and exhibits work in the UK and internationally, most recently collaborating with Emma Rushton and Derek Tyman at Unit 2, London and at 1a Space, Hong Kong. As an independent organiser Kwong Lee has co-directed artist-led projects such as Mart, Sampler and BlueScreen and is currently Director of Manchester's Castlefield Gallery

 

Anthony Key

Anthony Key was born in South Africa from Chinese origin and is based in London. At the age of 23 he moved to England where he has established himself as a leading artist, exploring the concept of cultural identity. Having gained a distinction for his MA at Brighton University, Anthony went on to complete his doctorate at the Winchester School of Art. He has experience in lecturing, curating and organising exhibitions.

Mayling To
