Urbis is an exhibition centre of city life. We have 5 floors of changing exhibitions, so there is always something new to see whenever you visit.
Our exhibitions offer unique insights into the culture of the modern city, about Manchester, art and culture including innovative explorations of design, architecture, graffiti, music and the urban environment.
Urbis runs an extensive programme of events, including talks, tours, workshops and performances.

Urbis is located in Cathedral Gardens, the first public park created in Manchester in over 200 years.
Manchester, Trafford and Salford Councils are now thinking of creating a new an urban city park - stretching from The Quays through to Manchester City Centre and onto Peel Park, close to Salford University. The project is being referred to as Irwell City Park.
